We dined here for lunch and split the chicken parmesan and a four cheese small pizza. The food was good. We preferred the chicken parmesan. We had the vanilla gelato for dessert which was not worth the $10 it cost. Service was only fair, and the servers did not seem to be happy with their jobs which is unusual at Disney. Few smiles. The large pizzas are huge and can be a good value at Disney to feed a large family.
This has become one of our favorite Disney restaurants, and I would rank the pizza among the best anywhere in the US. To start, we had the prosciutto and melon (very fresh), caprese salad (good, on the small side), and fried veggies (delicious but they are battered and not light--don't expect something similar in texture to tempura). For our main course, some had pizza and others had pasta. We were told they would come out at different times because they come from separate kitchens. The pasta came about 10 minutes before the pizza, which seemed a reasonable price to pay for everything being delivered to the table perfectly fresh. My husband loved the carbonara (a special that night). It was a huge portion with perfectly cooked pasta and an authentic sauce. Our daughter had the pasta and meatballs, which she loved. I had the individual pizza with artichoke hearts. To me, they serve the perfect pizza--thin but chewy crust with great flavor, fresh tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, and good selection of toppings. Even though we couldn't finish our meals, our daughter wanted dessert so we tried the "ugly but good" sundae, which I loved but our daughter found a little odd. Most of the portions are very generous. I couldn't finish the individual size pizza after trying some the appetizers, and the couple sitting next to us had the frito misto for 2 and a medium pizza and could't finish the appetizer and took home half of the pizza despite their best efforts. We saw other tables with the "metro" pizza, which was massive. The service was friendly and prompt--we never felt overlooked or rushed despite the size and busy atmosphere. It is a large, open, beautifully themed restaurant. It's fun to watch the open pizza kitchen at work. We look forward to returning on our next visit to Disney World.
Book well in advance if you don't want to wait hours or being refused. The Neapolitan pizza is really good, large and cooked in a wood oven. Service is ultra busy but I did not expect much on this. If you want to eat a good pizza at Disney, this is the only place to go!
We always eat at Via Napoli for lunch or dinner when we visit Epcot. We love the pizza and it is so affordable for our family of four. We have a Tables in Wonderland card. We had the calamari, a large pizza and four drinks for $60 - which for Disney is a cheap meal. The food is consistently excellent. Highly recommend!
