I had the privilege to eat at Hub last week with actually the owner of the chain and found out that, the chain will grow gradually in one year. However, the owner is very strict when it comes to the quality of the food that they serve at his restaurants (which is never a bad thing :)) He tastes every single dish on the menu, to make sure that it is suitable for his customers. As everyone knows, the health regulation is the main concern at big chains as Hub and the owner visits every restaurant every week to check up on the kitchen. He informed me that he has special teams in his kitchens to make sure everything and every food is being processed under the health regulations (that was a relief on my part) I tasted almost everything they serve on their menu. However, my favorites were the carpaccio, cheeseburger, turkey gravy burger, ahhh their lime seasoning chicken was amazing!!! Of course what is a meal without dessert and coffee? ummm boring if you ask me :) I advise everyone to try their carrot cake and their cheesecake with a nice cup of coffee to finalize a great meal at Hub. I was shocked when I saw the prices on the menu. As I have mentioned earlier, this meal was only suppose to be a quick lunch break between my meetings which ended up being a feast (and I didn't over due my lunch break). The spending ratio is between 25-30 TL and that's what I pay for my lunch during week days anyways. They also do accept Sodexo food card and they also have amazing sandwiches and salads for take aways for people who don't have time to sit and eat. That was one of my best experiences and wanted to share it with everyone who are interested in having an A+ lunch, with great servers, great food and company. I may sound as if I am advertising the place, (which now I am sure that's exactly what it sounds like :)), but I really had an amazing time and wanted to share it with everyone who enjoys great food for a reasonable price. I visited a development project in Kagithane area last week. After an hour of meeting it was about lunch time. My friends took me to HUB which is in Ofispark, a fine office campus that was developed by Tekfen few years back. The Venue has an interesting concept, part is like UK ready to eat sandwich and salad chains, ready packed food in the open fridges and part is a casual yet elegant restaurant, white table cloths etc. The staff is very nice and friendly, probably all college students. They brought some warm bread and olive oil and we started with that. It was the first pleasant surprise, the bread there (I was told that it was one of their own) was delicious. My friends have certain favorites there, they said all are very good and we should order different dishes and share, we did and we truly enjoyed it. The food was very good and I will go there again even though it is far to where I usually am. Some of the dishes we had, like ceasers salad, salade nicoise, cheeseburger etc were among the best that I had in Istanbul. The restaurant part is open for lunch but the fast sandwich/salad part is open all day, all only during weekdays. I bought some packed sandwiches, paninis and salads on my way out and we enjoyed them with our guests that night together with some nice super Tuscans.
Visited with some colleges for lunch. The place is based inside an office compound. It's a small, cozy restaurant tucked away in a nice office area. The setting is relaxed. The menu offers limited choice, but more than enough for a one time visit and I think the menu changes frequently as well. Service is quick and friendly. I had a soup (tomato and paprika) and a turkey stew. Especially the turkey was really good, so soft and tasteful! Served with mashed potatoes. Very good. Not the the most special place ever, but absolutely great for a lunch so near by the office.
