How I wish I hadn't munched all those snacks on the way from Mayiladuthurai! Never realised there was this super place on the way to Thanjavur - the signboards are not all that visible, I guess. But I understand that for folks who have been here - there is always a "coming back". Decided to have the thali meal - it had everything and more than what is normally seen on such plates - I mean the soup and the ice-cream were an extra. Otherwise everything else was as expected - roti, rice, sambar, rasam, more, thayar, kootu, avail, vatha kolumbu, appallam, dried chilli, vathal, pickle. Definitely recommended - especially considering the ambience and the possibility of some genuine relaxation after a long drive.
