there was a time when sudhamrit was the best eat out option in asansol. However the present condition is pathetic, with regard to food quality, crockery and upkeep. The only nice thing is to see the old waiters, who share a special bond with older customers. Their signature dish of black chilly chicken, chowmein with chicken liver and american chopsuey has degraded over time. No wonder asansol has better options now.

New Sudhamrit Restaurant situated in Bastin Bazaar, GT Road, Asansol and also very close to Asansol City Bus Stand. Restaurant located on the first floor and entrance to the restaurant is very narrow, one may get confused. I have been there for lunch with family during "Durga Puja Festival", so they offer "puja special menu" which exclude mutton from their menu list, a bit disappointing. Though taste of food is very good, specially "chicken kashmiri" and "chicken peshawari" are awesome. There are lots of options in menu for vegetarian too. The ambiance is very good and perfect for friends or families. Price of food is affordable. Service and behaviour of staffs are good. Overall a decent restaurant in Asansol, one must go and enjoy the food.
