Went there for a evening dinner with frnds last nite. We spoke to the chef before the order and he undestood where we came from. When the food came, it was not the european custom indian food, but authentic tasting indian food - the best that i've had in europe. We tried both north n south indian dishes they tasted excellent. Food was well served.
Went for a Friday evening buffet with my family. Service was very kind and helpful. However for a 32.50 CHF buffet to food was really sub standard, whilst the Naans and rice were nice, the curries left a lot more to be desired, In terms of freshness and taste. There was a very odd coconut oil taste in the food which personally I did not like, perhaps is a South Indian approach to things, but others may like this. We were served a minced meat starter and not readily advised in terms of what meat it was, very unusual for an Indian restaurant who normally cater for vegetarians, and those who would prefer non beef or pork products. In all fairness, my trusted friends tell me that their a'la carte is alot better and I will give the restaurant another chance in the future. However until then this rating stands. Also at a rate of 32.50 CHF, in many Indian restaurants in Zurich you can order a'la carte and the food is then catered towards your taste. So not good value, unless you prefer to eat loads and see that as value. Restaurant was child friendly.
