I used Tripadvisor to find a local Indian Restaurant to our hotel in Finsbury park and I get it on the top,! Attentive, knowledgeable and humorous staff, then there's the food absolutely beautiful, subtle, aromatic and spicy? I really love the Vegetable pakura as it is freshly made. The authentic Bengali fish curry was delicious! The food was excellent and the service was brilliant. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone. Waiter's recommendations were perfect and his attention to our table was appreciated. There is no doubt I will be back when I am next in town. Great food, good location and exceptional customer service.

We walked in at 8:00 on a Friday evening and were seated immediately. The restaurant was not overly busy and one very pleasant man was serving all the guests. There were a few locals in the restaurant to pick up take-out. They obviously frequented the restaurant often as they were greeted by name and asked about their personal lives. This appears to be very much a neighbourhood eatery and has a pleasant ambience about it. We ordered "Pick and Mix Thali" - four dishes for £17.95. Our choices were vegetable korma, lamb sag, prawn curry and chicken tikka masala which came with rice and nan. At our server's suggestion we ordered extra rice and another vegetable dish (aloo gobi). The food was hot and good; not outstanding but quite satisfying. The quantity was perfect for two, one of whom has a large appetite. The gentleman walked every customer to the door as they were leaving which was a nice touch. We will eat here again.
