Our new favorite! We were looking for some place new to try that was quiet, had a good wine menu and, preferably, french food. Amass succeeds in all of these. We started with the potato leek soup (so smooth and creamy) and the butter lettuce (*almost* too pretty to eat) followed by the pork (prepared perfectly) and cassoulet (delicious). Service was attentive but not overbearing we finished with the popcorn sundae, an unexpected and wonderful combination of flavors. Overall a wonderful find and we can't wait to return.
This is the kind of place where they remember your name. It is a great neighborhood bistro with amazing food and drink. I have been there for brunch and dinner and both are wonderful. For brunch, the steak sandwich and bottomless mimosas are the best. For dinner start with the beef carpaccio. Every dinner I've had has been delicious.
Have been here several times for brunch and we absolutely love it. They serve a great cassoulet as well as very tasty egg dishes including a version of chilaquiles and a great ham benedict. Drinks are creative and flavorful, espresso is high quality and service is friendly and efficient. The feel inside is real, with hard wood tables and comfortable, but not soft seating. While it has never been very busy - we hope people begin enjoying it more because we want the place to keep serving a great brunch. Can't wait to try it for dinner.
The restaurant has walls of wood giving it a lodge feeling. Not what I expected with a French menu. We were a family of five. The server was gracious and knowledgeable but the food was quite bland. The. Chicken Liver appetizer and the dessert garnished with popcorn were the two high points. The Pork entree ,Scottish Salmon and Mussels left us asking for something less bland.
