土豪带飞の大理篇

We've been told a lot about Dali from our friend.

Its weather 's always fine and nice..

It's quiet and peaceful...

It's good for relax and escaping from reality...

But we've been through a lot for this trip, especially Lemon, Cuz her holiday was not confirmed until the day before we started our trip, she tried so hard and finally made it.And she viewed this trip so important as this could be our first but last trip together.

Cuz i am going to Australia in the coming May...

This trip was a lot easier than any other trip,because we had a friend who got everything settled before we started our trip.

All we need to do was to pack our clothes and got our air tickets done.

We flied to Guiyang to meet up our friend.

He's busy with his business but we were so lucky to have his time to arrange pick up service for us and settled us down in Hyatt Regioncy.

The hotel's good overall,the only pity was that there's no free sauna room offer while we were waiting for our friend.

It's so a big property with gardens,walking paths and even man-made waterfalls.

The breakfast was ok but with less choices.

And i can tell it's a business hotel judging by most of the hotel guests in suit.

Went out for shopping and authentic Guizhou food while wating for our friend.

And we found Guizhou was not just mountains , they've got big shopping malls, luxury cars and skysrapers here as well...same as the other big cities in China.

So this trip end my misunderstanding towards Guizhou.

At around 3 p.m. we finally met up our friend .

Then we decided to drive to Dali.

But don't worry, the driver's not me, our friend arranged a driver to go with us, he's more like a friend though.

He's fat but with a beautiful heart inside his big body.

It turned out the big truck's really cool and comfortable as my friend always said.

Thanks for taking us to see the sakuras ...though not in Tokyo.

You really cant't help wowing~!!!

This sakura forest fulfilled all my imagination towarded japan.

As you could see, it's not just several, but a forest ~!!!!

And to be honest , it's my first time to see the sakuras.

and suddenly it came with a sakura forest ~! that really lighted up my trip.

Sakura's the main reason why i fell in love with Guizhou hah.

We tried to go to Huangguoshu Waterfalls.but we didn't make it in time, it's closed when we arrived.

Then we moved on driving, twelve hours later, we were in Dali la ~~~~~

It's my first long road trip, but thanks to this nice truck, it's not a tough trip,thanks to those cute people with me, it's a pleasent journey.

We were greeted by the hotel owner at 4 a.m. she's been waiting for us till mid night...cuz she's our friend's friend.Woke up a bit late and we missed our breakfast time,

Thanks to our friend, we had our in room breakfast at the end.

The weather's not as good as i expected, but my mood was better than my expectation.

walked up to the rooftop and found it the best place for relax and sight seeing.

That's how it looked when the weather's fine.

The hotel's location's quite good, only 10 minutes walking distance to town.

and 3 minutes walking distance to the restaurant we went most of the time.

This ~! was also my friend's friend's restaurant.

We had our meals here most of the time

The food in Guizhou and Yunnan is mostly spicy which made most of the cantonese headache.

but a stomchache for me instead.

After lunch, we checked in another hotel called 白玛假日酒店,which was run by our friend's friend as well.

It's really an amazing hotel~!

I am sure you already fell in love with the decoration when you just saw the pictures as i did.

The bed was soft and comfortable, the room was even equipped with washing machines.

there's live music at night as well.

the biggist selling point is the balcony with sea view ~!

and of course the price 's not lower than any other 5 star hotels.

I personally like this Mediterranean style , a lot ~!i could really just stay in this hotel for the whole day ~

BTW the breakfast was semi-self-service buffet.

After settled down, we drove to Dali old town.

Not much to see or do there for me.

I expected more snacks to taste and more shoppings to do lo....

We had our local dinner in a small villige in Longkan Port.

Cuz our friend wanted to invest a hotel in Dali, so we went there for investigation...

Business people 's really all about business no matter wherever they are.

Our friend even wanted to persuade me not to go to Australia but stay in Dali and help him with his business instead.

I personally think Dali 's good for escaping from reality for a while, but if you are here for a living, it's gonna be bored to death lo

Woke up and found the weather's extremely beautiful ~

So of course we dressed up and went out for pictures la ~!

Found this cool motor bike in hotel when we were about to go out,but we chose to take a walk instead for the sake of avoiding being sentenced as burglary.

We wanted to do or see something, but we didn't know where to, so we decided to go to wherever we could reach by foot.

Then we off to the pagoda which we could see in our hotel.

There's a temple there as well~

You could see devout people here to pray for a husband~

May god bless this lady a husband this year.

This is the pagoda with no roof, there are regions about this which confused me..

Spent 50 minutes driving from hotel, we arrived at the buttom of 鸡足山, yeah our friend wanted to go worship up at the altitude of more than 3000 to show his sincereness.

The trip to worship was not easy at all, we changed to shuttle for 20 minutes.

then changed to cable car for another 15 minutes to the top.

But the view up there was totally worthy.

Cuz it felt like you were at the top of the world.

I tasted a kind of Yunnan local food up there as well, which was called 地苼，don't miss it when you are there~! it tasted so good ~!

you could also feed the wild monkeys on the road.

It's not like the zoos, there's no fense to stop you from feeding them, you could totally interact with them by feeding them, cuz they were just like piggish kids.

The weather's rather mild that day.

That made us couldn't help taking pictures on the road...

I couldn't help acting cool when i was with the cool big truck.

I was like flying when the weather's fine.

And i tried so hard to act like a boss

Then we off to the Dai nationality restaurant which was recomemended and guided by Yanzi,the owner of 美嘉心印 hotel.

The day ended quite late here in Dali, the sun set at 8:00 p.m. that day.

Seemed like the sun didn't want to end the days early here.

Same as me, i didn't want that day end at all..

We then went to visit a hotel which was planed to be rent out in the country.

Unlike most of the hotels in Dali, it's not facing the sea, but a classsic Chinese style hotel with garden views.

I spacially like the garden and open plan kitchen with garden view a lot.

But well....our friend preferred to have a hotel with sea view instead.

Cuz we missed the idyllic scenery the day before, our friend took us to a stawberry farm on the next day to make it up.

The stawbarries were big, red and sweet ~!!!!The stawberry picking experience was so good that we forgot about the price.

we picked 3 kilos which was too much for us , and it cost 120 rmb.

And again, we back to 白玛假日酒店 for tea...

I found the girls who could make the tea are really beautiful and elegant.

After that, we went to another hotel called 海花园 for visit, cuz its owner was from Canton that they wanted to take me there for a look, and you know what,it's really a small world, the owner's from Zhaoqing, which was exactly where i am from.Hospitable as any other cantonese, they kept us there and had dinner together with them.

so i had my first catonese dinner in Yunnan that day.

海花园 is a full sea view hotel with outdoor cafe , live music, man-made waterfall and so on, don't miss it if wish to have a full sea view room in Dali.

And the rooms are with different styles, the most unforgettable one was that there's a suite which you could see the stars, and sleep with the stars at night time if you open the skylight.

Again, we back to hotle for a glass of wine first,but then we just couldn't stop....

I was a bit drunk but i had so a good sleep that night.

Didn't have plan where to go the next day.

So we started our day at 12:00 p.m.

Had lunch at 渔夫之家 again...

Fortunately the weather's fine on the last day of our trip, we decided to go to 双廊 for pictures

This picture was like the logo of 双廊.

Since 双廊 is still under constructing.

the roads were a bit dirty and messy.

I personally preferred the views on the road.

The views would be better if the weather's nicer.

I could see a lot of couples were taking weddding pictures here.

How could you treat a single dog in this way...

OMG it's so sweet lo~

And i could see a lot of beautiful people were protecting 洱海.

And because of avoiding pollutions on 洱海, all the hotels within 30 meters of 洱海 needed to be closed after 10th,April.

I don't think it's a smart way to protect 洱海 though, probably we could have more limits and requirements on the environmental protection for hotels. but shutting them down seemed too cruel for the owners.Cuz most of them sold their house in big cities and moved here for a living, now it's really an out of control heachache for them..

Then we went to 海地 for BBQ la ~~~~

It tasted really good ~~~

especially the pigskin~~~~it's unexpectedly tasty.

Thanks our friend for sticking to his promise and took us to 双廊 just for pictures though you were not interested in it at all..

We went back to 白玛假日酒店 again for wines to call an end of our trip.

We sang along and drink a lot...

and realized how we didn't wanna say good bye.... to this trip, to dali, to the people we met here...and so on.

At 12:00 p.m.

we started our road trip back to Kunming for plane.

Then flied back to Zhuhai..

We made it on time to have the Yunnan noodles in Best Airport Hotel, this noodle was highly recomemended by our friend, for the reason that there were lots of beautiful air hostess here in this hotel for meals.

But it did taste good ~~~!!!!

It's time to say bye to Yunnan and our friends la ~

It's really gonna be a long time to see our fatty driver friend since he didn't even have a passport...

I already started missing him when i am organizing my travel journal this moment..
